Did the Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 Open Beta rewards catch your eye? The Open Beta for Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 features a selection of rewards for participants to earn, including Weapon Blueprints and an Operator Skin. These exclusive Open Beta rewards will stick with you through Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2, so you won't want to miss out on this opportunity. With that said, this guide will detail how to get the Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 Open Beta rewards.
Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 Open Beta Weekend One will run from Friday, September 16 at 3pm BST to Tuesday, September 20.
Open Beta Weekend Two kicks off on Thursday, September 22, at 3pm BST and will be playable until Monday, September 26.
Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 Open Beta Weekend One is exclusive to PlayStation. PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 owners who pre-ordered Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 digitally, at retail, or received a Beta code, can begin playing the Beta as soon as it goes live on Friday, September 16, at 3pm BST. Starting Sunday, September 18 at 3pm BST, all PlayStation owners can join in on the action.
Open Beta Weekend Two is available to players on all consoles and PC — with crossplay turned on. However, unless you're on PlayStation 4 or PlayStation 5, to play first thing on September 22 at 3pm BST, you must have pre-ordered the game for Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, or pre-purchased for PC via Blizzard Battle.net or Steam. When Saturday, September 24, comes around, the entire community can experience the Open Beta together, regardless of pre-order status.
While PlayStation Plus isn't necessary to play the Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 Open Beta on PlayStation, Xbox Live Gold is required for Xbox players.
You won't have to do anything special or complete any wacky challenges to unlock the Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 Open Beta rewards. All ten Open Beta-exclusive rewards can be earned by simply playing the game and levelling up.
Since Weekend One is only available to PlayStation owners, Sony loyalists will have a head start on collecting the rewards. Xbox and PC players can earn Weekend One rewards too, but because Xbox and PC are excluded from Weekend One, these players will need to grind hard during Weekend Two to obtain all of the Weekend One and Weekend Two Beta rewards together.

You can equip the Open Beta rewards in the Beta as soon as you unlock them. And, when Modern Warfare 2 officially releases on October 28, you'll be able to use them in the full game, plus Warzone 2. But keep in mind that the Open Beta is your only chance to actually earn these rewards. If you see these items on the battlefield, know that the user is an OG!
While the Beta rewards you unlock will transfer to the full game, your progression in the Beta will not. Expect to start anew at Level 1 and have to work your way back up.
The Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 Open Beta is a one-time opportunity to earn exclusive rewards that will carry on through Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2. So, hop on when you can and reach Level 30 in the Open Beta to unlock some permanent swag to flex in the war ahead.
Make sure you know how to dive and slide in Modern Warfare 2 before you load up a match in the Open Beta.
