AC Milan president Paolo Scaroni called Inter to apologise for the banner that some players displayed during last night’s open top bus parade.
An investigation has been launched after Milan players displayed a banner mocking Inter for their Coppa Italia win. The banner read: “Stick the Coppa Italia in your a**” – aimed at the Nerazzurri for their Coppa victory as they went on to lose the title
Calcio e Finanza among other sources confirmed that the FIGC prosecutor has opened an investigation into an alleged violation of Article 4 of the Sports Justice Code due to the banner displayed by Milan during the celebrations for the Scudetto.
La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews) confirmed this morning that an investigation is ongoing and while no official comments have arrived from the Rossoneri or the Nerazzurri about the banner itself, yesterday evening the Milan president Paolo Scaroni contacted the Inter management to apologise for what had happened.

I think what he did was right, he simply apologised, this is management level stuff, so it’s pretty much ceremonial, whatever the player did or does on the pitch or bus doesn’t matter but the management needs to do this biddings as to avoid any further discontent. It’s a tactical and mature move.
