Nebraska football fans said they feel like the Irish are on their side ahead of Saturday's season opener. And the red "N" tags on vehicles in Ireland are part of that.

Walking around Dublin on Thursday, there are more Husker fans here — and even a couple of Wildcat fans. But there's more definitely more red than purple.

There's plenty of traffic in downtown Dublin, and a little more congested than in downtown Omaha.

But like Omaha, there are plenty of red cars. And over here some of them have an "N" on the windshield.

But no, it's not for "Nebraska." It's for "Novice driver."

In Ireland, drivers have to keep the "N" on their windshield for two years after getting their license.

It's to let other drivers know who's behind the wheel.

And yes, the wheels in Ireland are on the right side of the car.

But the "N" might as well stand for "Nebraska"— technically it's Northwestern's home game.

But really, it looks like it'll be Nebraska's.
